Marnie Martin

From the time she was a young woman, Marnie has enjoyed being busy and she thrives on diversity and change. She has a creative, entrepreneurial spirit and loves working with people, which naturally brought her to the Real Estate Industry and to RE/MAX. After moving to Los Angeles at 18 to study voice at Musicians Institute of Technology, she went to Nashville to record her first CD in 1997 and began touring and receiving radio airplay of her first two singles across the country. But her desire for family began to overtake the joy of life on the road, and she chose to spend more time with her two young sons by staying closer to home and trying her hand at opening her own bistro- “The Beanstalk Coffee Company”. With a full time staff and a love for the arts, Marnie quickly established her bistro as a local mecca for cultural events and live music, hosting a variety of fundraisers, jazz nights and local Art displays. Through her work with “Performances in The Park” with the city of Williams Lake as booking co-ordinator for their live music and concert series, to her volunteer efforts with Communities in Bloom and Music For Young Children, Marnie has learned the value of team work, contribution and a strong community.

Her background in the music industry as well as her years as a restaurateur, have taught her that integrity and enthusiasm are key ingredients to the success of any business. She is passionate about her commitment to the community and since moving to the Island a few years ago, she has worked as a freelance writer and PR person for Habitat for Humanity, written for In Focus Magazine and The Rural Shopper and Comox Valley Homes and Living Magazine as Cuisine and Events Editor.

Marnie is proud to call the Comox Valley her home. The boundless beauty here makes it very easy to work in the Real Estate industry, with it’s growth and diversity. Her love for people keeps her driven to help families and investors alike, find the perfect home or property to suit their needs. At the end of the day, providing the very best in Real Estate service with honesty, sincerity and a smile is what this business is all about, and Marnie strives to ensure you will get just that.

Steven Martin

I was raised in a small farming community in Southern Ontario after my family immigrated to Canada from the UK when I was only 3 months old. (My parents had no idea that there was a comedian in Canada with the same name...nice surprise) Music and the arts have always played center stage for me... from working at the Stratford Shakespearean Theatre to drumming on the Vancouver club circuit, and then into a career in graphic design.

The business diploma I obtained along the way was a great foundation for several new ventures including plastics manufacturing, CNC programming, and FloodMedia, a communications development studio. Several Tourism and Economic Development projects brought FloodMedia national recognition for Best of Show in Canada.... we were quite proud of that one.

My interest in Real Estate really started as a need.. a need to find a new home. After going through the process several times... I really felt that there could be more brought to the table, more service, more solutions... and a lot more creativity. So there it started... combining all the tools I had to serve each client the best way I knew how... honestly.

When Marnie joined our business two years later, it really felt like the package was complete. Our family works hard together, and plays hard together too... and takes time to enjoy the simple pleasures of just living in such an awsome place.
